The stories we have here seem to have a little more detail (in order of how information has been released):
1. After the interview aired, Brian Dawkins (the respected voice of the defense) confronted TO first thing on Friday. According to TO, Dawkins "accepted" his explanation of the interview.
2. Later Friday, the team requested - through TO's agent since TO wouldn't listen to anyone directly - to apologize for all of the comments made in the interview. In a prepared statement, TO apologized to the organization for the "classless" comments. No apology was made to McNabb or the rest of the team. According to reporters and "sources", the paper with the statement was torn at the bottom where apparently a section was prepared on an additional apology. It appears as though TO ripped it off himself.
3. In his Friday afternoon radio show (which is broadcast out of an Atlanta station since he has refused to talk to local media since the infamous front lawn workout session), he indicated that he regretted the interview, but not necessarily what he said.
4. In a closed door team meeting called by McNabb on Saturday, he called for an explanation/apology in front of the team, and none was given. TO was suspsended indefinitely by the team at some point after that meeting.
5. Sunday word started filtering out about a confrontation in the lockeroom earlier in the week. Hugh Douglas, a popular former Pro Bowl defensive lineman for the Eagles who retired this year and was named "ambassador" for the team, came into the lockeroom after TO had indicated he had a leg/ankle injury. TO was sitting in a whirlpool tub when Douglas, to no one directly - but obviously aimed at TO who he has previously had publicly criticized on his "issues" - complained loudly about players faking injuries. TO proceed to go after Douglas and had to be restrained. After a brief separation, TO went after him again and apparently threw a punch "that would have caused damage" if it connected. After another separation, TO proceeded to enter the full lockeroom and asked if McNabb or any other player wanted a piece of him. No one took him up on his offer.
So how was your week?
