Who wouldn't be cranky feelin not so good in that really sensitive place ...

only other thing I could think of as a preventative measure would be anything that might help stimulate skin growth so that it's NOT so superthin, hence my vitamin question. Sounds like you are doing that already, this sight might be helpful: (it's promoting a skin regenerative product)
