Such things are pretty important to me, and if he didn't get exactly what I use, then... I'd be a little irritated. I like my tampons unscented and my pads with wings. If I didn't get them that way... then there's going to be a problem for at least ten minutes.
I have bought condoms a couple of times, but I usually go through the self-checkouts when I do.
