Quake 3 for the best multiplayer combat (bots are decent too). Great modability, get Promode.
Quake 2 has an enjoyable single player, though old.
Giants is a really quality old game, amazing single player.
The only medal of honor game I've played is Allied Assault, and it was quite good.
