Well......back from the track.......good news and bad news.
Bad news first......I need to tune my shift points. The car was hanging for a second going into second, and tapped the rev limiter one time on one or two runs, I think that shift point needs knocked down 1-2 mph. The 2-3 shift point was worse. It was bangin the rev limiter every run, and REALLY holding the shift up, maybe a quarter of a second or longer. I think there is somewhere between .15 - .35 in getting those shifts right, but who knows? Now I have to figure out where to get my hands on HP Tuners, or get over to US 41 one of the days the Indy crew is there to get Heck to tune it for me.
The good news..........she hooked like a mutha. I started out launching at 1500 after a good burnout, with the Nittos at 18psi. I pulled a 1.722 short time with no spin at all. I worked the launches up to 2500 rpms.....at the green light slipping the brake and hammering the gas. 1.7 sec 60' times all night long. I hit 1.8 when I tried stalling it above 2500 and got spin.
I was running 12.7-12.8 all night long (got in 7 runs), which was .1-.2 off my all time bests. I was disappointed in that, but I know that I'll MORE than make that up once I get the shift points adjusted to where they need to be.
