Were I to make it out with my family, friends, loved ones, etc. and had to then deal with what possessions I would truly miss, I don't know what they'd be. I'm not tied too much to my material possessions. Sure there are things that I like, but I really am of the mind that they can be replaced. What would bother me would be how long it took me to acquire those possessions and how long it would take to replace them.

However, I think it's disasters like this that tends to put things in perspective and makes one realize that those material possessions don't really matter in the greater scheme of things. Like you, though, I've never been put in that position so it's not something I've ever had to truly face.
