Considering that one of the more common side-effects of the use of marijuana (though I never have, but I know some who have) is paranoia... yeah, stop doing it.
You'll need to stop for a month just for it to leave your body as a traceable element, but about another month (depends on the person) for it to really stop affecting you.
So, stop the pot, and keep in mind that you'll need to wait about 2 months before you can start really feeling out your situation. Some people notice immediate results.
If you don't, go see a doctor. The first thing (s)he'll ask is if you use any drugs. Answer honestly, and that you've quit for _____ long. That information will be important to the doctor, and is protected information. If you're not honest, the doctor will not know precisely how to help you, and you could receive assistance that doesn't actually help you.
If you're a chronic user (more than once or twice a day) or feel any withdrawal from discontinuing the use of the marijuana, seek medical help before going cold-turkey.
