I agree with your take on angels. I also think there are guardian angels even though I am not a christian. There have been too many close calls in my life where I should have been badly hurt or killed and survived without a scratch or scar.
As for aliens, I think that it would be narrow-minded to believe we were the only intelligent (and I use that word loosely) beings in the universe. As for them coming to Earth, I don't know. The reason they might come is why we go into space, curiousity. Also, after they found this place, it could serve as god entertainment.
