Why couldn't James Evans (from Good Times) hold a damn job?
I mean, he had to have some type of skills, right? Why was he constantly getting laid off? He wasn't attempting to gain work during The Great Depression. He was just an ordinary slub that was trying to find a job, not a career...a job.
This quandry has always gotten me. Was "the man" really after James? Or, perhaps, he would fly off the handle like he would most times at home.
Whatever the reason, it just is mind boggling he couldn't just get a damned job. Was he too selective? Was he only trying to get union jobs?
Next up in the series...why couldn't Jack Tripper, Janet Wood, and Chrissy Snow ever pay their rent on time. Furthermore, why Mr. Roper or Mr. Ferley never threw them out.
