My mother has had migranes since she was a teenager and she is 57 now. I have had them for the past 15 years (almost half my life). I have found that my thyroid and my Iron levels directly affect the migranes. I forgot to take my Iodine and Iron 2 mornings in a row and promptly had a migrane. I believe there is a direct relationship between the two and am hoping that I've found my key. I've had cluster headaches as well. We discovered that at that point I was anemic and since I've been taking Iron regularly I haven't had cluster headaches at all.
