Personally, any critter that I didn't bring into my house is an INVADER and gets treated accordingly. Granted if I can remove it withou squashing it I will. I've seen the critters that you showed and if I recall correctly the move swiftly. They don't bite (at least I don't think so) as I had one on my leg once.
Make sure you get rid of stinky damp clothes and any food related items that are left out in your room and you should see fewer of them. Some for spying silverfish. Get rid of dirt and garbage and they won't be as attracted to come pay you a visit.
I couldn't have left him. Kindof glad you could get to sleep - I wouldn't have slept, or if I had I would have dreamt they were swarming on my body. I've had those dreams before.
