I would add blackout curtains to your bedroom and perhaps a fan to block out noise. I worked a 3rd shoft years ago and sound sleep was my biggest problem. That, coupled with trying to sleep at night on the weekends and then reversing again. It's almost better to live your life on 3rd shift rather than just when you are woking.
Getting good rest sure can make working out better, regardless of the time. You'll probably get back into the swing after you get used to the different sleep cycle. Might even talk to a Dr.
