So here we are, 24 responses later, and the answer is that nobody here knows either.
Post a question looking for an explanation of a punchline, and get a serious discussion of where to carry a wallet. I don't mind, this has been an interesting discussion, and I have enjoyed hearing the strategies, many of which are similar to purse safety.
Basic purse safety, by the way, is, when somewhere where getting picked/snatched is common, wear the purse witht the shoulder strap over one shoulder, and the bag under the other, ie, right shoulder, left arm, with the clasp on the inside.
Ok, back to the joke. Let's look at the clues. This is Huntress, who has a chip on her shoulder the size of a redwood, and who wouldn't hesitate to insult any guy who didn't live up to her tough guy standards of manliness. In the first instance, she's talking to a piece of scum, so it makes sense that she'd want to belittle him. In the second it's a good guy, a close friend, amn she was formerly involved with, and someone she knows is a major league badass. She may be expressing disapproval of his expressed desire to step away from the heroing biz for a bit to collect himself after a series of traumatic events, and this is a playful way of doing it.
I'm guessing it doesn't really have a specific meaning, but is just a generic insult to a guy's macho image. Or perhaps Gail is being coy because it doesn't really have a meaning; it's meant to be a tease for the fanboys to obsess over.
