If the LAW ON THE BOOKS says that a city government tan take property and give it to some developer and build a mall on top of it, then that's what will be handed down by the court. Ummm, that is so wrong that I don't even know where to start. What they ruled is that the well-established meaning of eminent domain under the 5th Amendment was basically garbage. This decision is on the par of Wickard v. Filburn as far as being a landmark decision.
