Honestly, I think some people are overly prudish about puerile humour. It's all too common in a world gone mad with political correctness.

Political correctness has nothing to do with an observation.
If a thread title that invites interest leads to a one line comment of
"none of your fucking business you fucking cunts.", then it is anyone and everyone's entitlement to comment thereon.
The thread had no purpose and, as such, was posted in the wrong forum.

I'm not chastizing anyone. And if you think your support for "purile humour" [sic] is going to change people's attitudes, pass the crack pipe to the left.

Well, I haven't started many threads in this forum simply for the reason that it's inane. I've noticed a handful of interesting topics, but mostly it's nonesense. So what? That doesn't mean I can't comment when I wish to.
And, for the record, your post has lifted this thread into an interesting debate.
Now it's interesting. Beforehand it was embarrassing.

As stated in previous threads, poking fun at political correctness is a form of Australian humour. I for one love it because it reassures me we're not completely overrun by totalitarian empires to the point where joking about it would be treason.

Indeed.
