I hear ya! I finally bought When It Falls last week and must admit that you're right; it's nothing compared to their first album. When It Falls strikes me as a melancholy and drowsy whereas Simple Things is much more positive with a great beat and catchy songs. I don't regret buying it though, it's a great album which I'm gonna continue enjoy listening to
