I ordered two of the SIN CITY graphic novels by Frank Miller: the
first and second novels : "The Hard Goodbye" and "A Dame to Kill For"
and was moved by the movie version to order them and wanted to
see the film someday. The black and white drawings are well done but
the stories seem to be too full of killing and fighting to be interesting
to me. I did like the 2nd one better than the first. The main character
seems to be a friend of the ladies of the night and he was a cop once.
Marv is physically powerful and could be a private eye but does not seem
to be able to stay healthy long enough to keep a client happy or collect
a pay check. I guess I was expecting something different. Anyone
really enjoy these books?
