Ok guys, I need your help.

I have a S & W .38 special Mod 60 I want to sell. Whats the best way to go about this to get the best price, and what is a really good way, and by good I mean factual, way to find out what it is worth?

I have no idea how to figure out when it was manufactured. It was given to me by a policeman about 7ish years ago. It has numbers on the bottom of the grip and it has numbers on the cylinderl piece when you open it up. I dont know if the Mod 60 that is stamped in it tells anybody what they need to know...but it holds 5 rounds.

If somebody can guide me that would be fantastic and I would really appreciate it.
