#1) Tony is of Vietnamese descent
#2) Tony isn't a fairly attractive-looking female
#3) Tony was trying to get it into Australia
#4) Tony was smuggling heroin, not pot

Those are the reasons why (well, my guess at them). Not that I believe them all, but that is how I think the public sees it.
