In the US, 9 pounds of marijuana wouldn't be possession, that would be intent to distribute... I'd imagine if she had a few ounces, then the 20 year sentence wouldn't have been enforced... it probably owuld have been a lot less...
Even Olympic Snowboarders wouldn't be able to go thru 9 pounds of pot in a weekend...
