I've had the same experience. I feel for you. There were plenty of times when it would have been fun to have them around. I can understand how someone might want to spend time with a nice soft female instead of me though. Luckily for me, I get along with almost all of my friends girlfriends and wives so when things became more of a package deal it was still okay.
Get used to it. These same friends are going to start getting married etc.
