I just said it wouldn't HURT, but it also wouldn't HELP (because obviously if it's in water a significant amount of time, even pressure-treated lumber will fail). I don't see any problem in doing walls the way you described, I'm just applying it to this guy's situation and saying if he's got water on the floor, all the lumber in the world won't help both the lumber and drywall, etc from rotting.
