Tampopo

A comedic Japanese film about ramen noodles and other forms of food. The style imitates American Westerns. A number of surreal stories about food interupt the main plot about a noodle shop owner who wants to become the best, and a truck driver who wants to help her. There is an odd sex scene involving live shrimp and egg yolks.

The subtitling is pretty good.
