I don't mind too much if an underground band suddenly become popular; i think it's actually quite good in some instances because then more people will know the band and i wont be such a musical recluse

What i don't like is when people try to hold some kind of higher ground on you because they liked or heard of a band before you did.


an example:

Person1: *excited tone* "Hey, i got this new cd by *band here* and it's great"

Person2: *patronising tone* "ohhhh, i have been listening to that for agggesss"

Generally though, if anyone only listens to something cause it's on the radio, i doubt it'd have the same longevity for them, compared to if they discovered the bands themselves on their own terms?
