I have to agree Sixate.
I can see both sides but, I have to say that my parents were VERY strict, mostly my dad. Well, I knew not to do stupid things but mostly because I was sooo scared of my dad. My mom was the one that finally went with me so that I could get upper ear piercing before I was old enough to go and do it on my own. My dad tried to control music, tv, computer, hair, friends, clothes and the list goes on and on....I hated it and to a degree some of it still bugs me but, I'm glad that I was brought up the way I was. I even thanked my dad for how I turned out. He almost cried...

3rd grade? My God, kids do things and know things years before my generation ever did.
