You do not qualify for unemployment if you quit.
You should look into taking parental leave. You can split the 12 months of support with your spouse or take it all for yourself... of course now that she is 10 months old this might not be an option.
You could do what my wife did when my son was born... she started a daycare in our house. She worked with a placement agency. They collect the payment from the parents and pay you... The benefit being you don't have to find customers and they pay you even if the parents don't.
This isn't a traditional job choice for a guy but it does let you stay home with your kid while making some money.
