man how did I miss this thread..
Ok Maul.. Was a Darth but still and apprentice. Trained by I suspect the emporer. Therefore he too would have been strong in the force. he was skilled much like Exar Kun the first Sith/Jedi to weild two light sabers that attached at the ends to create a double bladed sabre.
I suspect if we had seen more of Maul he would have shown that he too was strong with the force. He not only challenged a Master and his Apprentice he Killed the master not just wounded the Master. Imho he would/should have lived through the fight between him and Obi Wan.
Dooku. Trained by Master Yoda. Lets face it .. the baddest Jedi in the Galaxy. He is strong in the Force and skilled with a Lightsaber. Cool and collected under fire. Attacked by an over zealous padawan, Anakin and his very skilled Master Obi Wan. Obi Wan although skilled in the force was also over zealous and head strong. He was confident but also by his actions asking for him and Anakin to attack in sync shows that he too felt over matched.
Although Anakin was dispatched quickly at first against the force lightning of Dooku, Obi wan was not. And held his own for a time. (not aswell admitedly as he did against Maul) Then with skill Dooku did not kill but only wounded him! Why? Because he is not a murderer. He did not want to harm either Jedi really. This shows alot of skill. He could have killed them both. Regardless of Yoda's presence.
As for how it all played out. Maul should not have been killed by such a feeble attack as the one so easily deffended upon from Obi Wan. But because of his murderous tendencies was too over confident.
Dooku was not. Skill in the force and battle is key.
Although I would have liked to see more of Maul I do think that Dooku would have ultimately put him down.
Vote: Dooku.
