Guiseppe (Laughing Boy) Provenci, born in Sicily found his way to America by helping to save the local Mafia boss from a hit, at age 12. Once in the USA was adopted by the boss's brother Antonio Pronvenci, leader and founder of the Provenci family, a small but very powerful organization rooted in New York, Cleveland and Miami.
Guiseppe, quickly changed his name to Joseph and worked hard to get rid of his Sicilian accent. Antonio worked hard to shelter his 2 biological children (Sophia and Marcello) and Joseph from the life of a mobster. He kept the children and his wife in a small city 60 miles south of Cleveland, named Mansfield, Ohio. There he was able to control the steel union, Tappan/Westinghouse Unions, the GM union, and tire company unions, with almost total anonymity in the area.
It was the tragic family wars and that brought about Joseph's nickname and rise to prominence in La Costa Nostra. Joseph was attending a small college in Ohio, with his "brother and sister" when the news broke of their father's murder.
Marcello, being hot headed immediately went to seek revenge and was gunned down in a supposed drug deal gone bad. But is was a setup by the Yaccobelli family.
Sophia, who was sheltered from the family until the tragedies suffered a nervous breakdown and went through many lost love affairs, with men and women.
Joseph immediately dropped out of sight, rumors were that he had had a nervous breakdown. The truth was far more devious. Taking those most loyal to his "father" he sought a fast and furious revenge. The men responsible for the murder of Antonia were murdered. Witnesses could never identify the murderer but all claimed that as the murder happened a loud insane laugh would be heard.
Finally, Alphonse Yacobelli scheduled a sit-down to work a peace with Joseph. But Joseph had other plans and killed Yacobelli as they hugged. Joseph laughed maniacally as he did this act and was forever known as "Laughing Boy".
Today, he controls the commission and even the Russians, Yakuzas and Columbians fear Guiseppe "Laughing Boy" Provenci and his very loyal men and women.

I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following. My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?"
