I say combine all of the above. Filling the pipes with bleach will kill all the bacteria in the draintrap...but you are stuck with a sink that still smells bad...just not funky. After disinfecting, clean your rubber guard, and then use the ice and lemon to clean your disposal blades and give yourself a lovely citrus smell.
