definately, its called "fusion cuisine" and its really awesome. In the larger southern cities NOLA, Atlanta, Nashville, and Memphis places like Brennans, Commanders Palace, the Buckhead Diner, and the Peabody Hotel are blending "southern cooking" with a touch of class.
Its always awesome to be back "home" in the south, where I can have a big glass of sweet tea, and some good southern food.
