Thats a good thing to learn.
Don't think of this as a bad thing, she helped you with a large problem.
Just because she doesn't know how much she means to you, doesn't mean what you gained by knowing her is lost.
She is young, and might not understand how she hurts people. I'd suggest telling her, it will let you vent, but will also help her understand relationships in life. Even if she doesn't understand now, she will understand one day.
