I enjoyed this book as well, have yet to read any of his other works, but have heard good things about them
other then LOTR, my favorite sci-fi series has to be the Dune series
sure the last 2 of the six are not as strong, but the first one is really good and they seem to hit their stride around number 2 (Dune Messiah), 3 (Children of Dune) and 4 (God emperor of dune)
