You should be able to delete the program after terminating it. If you run XP/2000....
1. Hit CTRL-ALT-Del and run the Task Manager.
2. Click on the Processes Tab
3. Click on the Image Name section to reorder the programs running alphabetically.
4. Now I never had the programs on my PC that you speak of and don't know what it would be called but look for a file either called, adware.exe, savenow.exe, clcksync.exe or something similar. You should be able to locate such programs easily.
5. Select the file you want to stop running.
6. Click the End Process button on the bottom right
7. Click Yes at the dialog box.
8. Repeat for each program.
9. Then try to delete the program/files now.
If you still cannot delete the program/files, you should at least be able to keep them from loading at boot up, which also should let you delete them.
Try this (XP/20000/ME/98/95)
1. Click on the Start Menu
2. Click on Run...
3. In the Run Dialog box type "msconfig"
4. Click OK
5. Click on the Startup tab
6. Now look for any files listed above or anything you don't want running at Windows startup for that matter.
7. Uncheck the boxes of those programs you don't want loaded.
8. Click OK
9. It will ask to restart you PC, click Yes.
After reboot now try to delete the programs/files you want.
