This is an odd home remedy for removing smells, but it works: roasted coffee beans. It absorbs and neutralizes smells like nobody's business. "Wash" your hands with the beans (basically rub a handful around between your hands, or sink your hands into a container full of beans for a while) and that should take care of the odor.

actually, this is more than just an odd home remedy. Apparently, when judges rate colognes and perfumes, they use coffee beans in between each fragrance to "reset" their noses. At least that's what the worker at the department store said when my gf and I were shopping for perfume for her...
