As you can see, handhelds.org is now at least partially back online. Our apologies for the long and unscheduled lack of service.
It looks like we were running into a kernel bug associated with the relatively obscure chipset used on the server and the two backup servers, which is what was causing such delays in bringing things back.
But as part of all this work, we (George) have cleaned up many config files and gotten things to the point where we can have a failover server running. All hail France for putting in so many hours of volunteer maintenance service.
Not all services running yet:FTP is running. HTTP is running, but some directories are not available yet while we do a security audit. SSH is not enabled yet, nor is CVS (ssh or anoncvs). They will be coming soon.
