Dear HalX,
My parents live in Florida between Pensacola and Ft. Walton on a little island called Navarre Beach. This past September, they were nearly devastated by Hurricane Ivan. Although they fared better than a lot of other people, they still lost their car and the entire bottom floor to their house. A lot of family memorabilia was washed away, including the simple things like their Christmas decorations. They moved back onto the island into their half-house when electricity was restored, and they managed several weeks there without phone or running water. Now that their phone and water service has been restored along with the electricity, they are trying to rebuild their home and get on with their lives during this Christmas season.
They are both over 70, and I would like to dedicate Silent Night to my folks this Christmas season, because they deserve some peace and quiet.
