i'd like to clear a few things up:
1) i've done nothing but group to complete my quests. up to a certain point, its hard not to. its do-able, but things certainly get tougher. i've grouped with my friends since i was able to reach them (i started dwarf, one guy started night elf, etc., we all start in different areas).
2) questing in WoW is the central way to gain levels. sure you can xp if you want. but i've never gone out of a city with intent to gain xp and not been on a quest (directly or indirectly) or searching for a quest to do. some of the quests are easy and/or mudane. some are original, though, and quite captivating.
3) sure, wow is kind of cartooney, but i still thoroughly enjoy the graphics. i'd much rather play wow knowing they spent more time on content than graphics, but maybe thats just me.
