I personally wouldn't recommend trying to mod your beautiful rband new top loader nes. They are pretty rare and expensive and its' not exactly a necessary mod. Is there a reason you need to use A/V cables to hook it up? I would just hook it through a VCR if you need to use A/V. Hook the coax from the NES to the vcr input and the a/v from the vcr to the tv. This also gives you the great opportunity to record your gameplay
