if i were to particpate in multiple partner sex...i think MMF would be the more likely. i'm bi, and so that idea of having the chance to express that more fully is a cool idea.
That said...i'm not sure about the concept in general. i'm personally not a fan of casual relationships, so the third party would have to be someone i knew, and cared for outside of the sex.
