From what I hear, you're not suppose to inhale, it's like smoking 10 cigarettes at once if you do, so I stay away from inhaling. Keeping it lit is a tough thing, since you really aren't suppose to take the pipe out of your mouth, it creates an airway through the pipe and ends up extinguishing it, (this is how I figure it works, anyway.) You have to baby it basically, can't smoke it like a cigarette or it will always go out - but this is a good way to get yourself out of an arguement you're losing.

I don't know Canadian currency, but even a cheap briar (I'm fairly sure that's what I'm using, can't run more than 10 bucks, especially if you look around.) I think my friend got a set of stuff from a retailer online, and for like 3 bucks shipping, and maybe 20 bucks total, he got a straight sandblasted pipe, a pouch of tobacco, pipe cleaners, and a lighter. The tobacco isn't half bad either, very mild and nice.
