Like others have pointed out, often it is unavoidable. However it has happened on purpose as well. Once my wife surprised me by "cleaning me up" afterwards and it is only right to later return the favor. And I be willing to bet that the greatest part of men who say that they have not sampled their own ejaculate are not telling the truth as well.
