yeah... i think the pledge deal is kinda creepy also. they're probably doing it with a team sort of attitude with the best of intentions... but such things have too much baggage and are associated with horrible things. it's just a bad political move. anyone who would recite the pledge in good fun is going to vote for you anyway. you're just going to weird out anyone who is still on the fence.
that being said... can we stop patting ourselves on the back for questioning authority or having some self-aggrandizing notion of courage when we do so? oh wow, you question the government... that must take a lot of guts to exericise a Constitutional right. be sure to put a little star on your anarchy bumper sticker.
