Hi all,
I am going to be in the market for a new guitar after I get back from my travels in SE Asia and Australia, sometime in May. I have been doing some research on Martins, Taylors and Larrivees and have found lots of differing opinions. so far, I have found a couple of nice guitars that I am really interested in, however, since I cant play their pictures online, I am not sure which one sounds best...I had never even heard of a Larrivee until recently, but from all the things I have read they are great.
Anyway, I was wondering what you guys thought were the differences/similarities between the different breeds...I am looking in the range of 800-1500 dollars to spend on a nice new guitar...I would preferrably like a Cutaway body and a decent active pickup.
Right now I am leaning towards the Taylor, but to be honest, since I havent played it, my bias is based on asthetics alone...
