At the word mother, a flash of light came across Shoan's eyes. When it was gone, a figure of his mother stood before him. There was nothing but darkness all around the two of them, but neither seemed to notice it.
Mother - "How could you just leave like that? Didn't you love us?"
Shoan - "Of course I do. I just..."
The figure of Shoan's father faded in next to her.
Father - "You're such a disappointment. You've brought nothing but shame to us. Why couldn't you have been more like your brother?"
Shoan - "But..."
Next, his brother faded in on the other side of his mother.
Brother - "You're so weak Shoan. You're far too week to ever be an Eldaire."
Shoan - "Amarth, I..."
Father - "Quiet. Your voice sickens me."
Mother - "You're no longer our son."
Amarth - "You're too weak to be my brother."
Shoan - "No..."
Father - "Disappointment."
Mother - "Hethen."
Amarth - "Weakling."
Shoan - "NO!"
In a flash, the vision was gone, and Shoan stood petrified with fear before the group. They all looked curiously at him, having yelled that last part out loud. Sweat covered his brow and his heart beat furiously. His blood was rushing through his veins, and he could hear the adrenaline flowing through his body. After a moment, he calmed down and could slowly move again. He regained his composure and replaced that cocky smile that was so familiar to him.
"Well, that's an interesting technique. Being an imp has a few perks huh?"
