A great car, and the newer 2.5's with the single cam are said to be more reliable.

My friend had a 98 2.5RS, now owns an 04 STI. He misses his 2.5, but only occasionally... His had heavy suspension mods as he ran it in SCCA Autocrosses, but it was a wonderful car. I only wish I'd had the $$$ to purchase it when it was for sale.

Good choice, you won't be disappointed.
