The price is the same, the software is the same, the hardware is the same. The ONLY difference is the etched logo on the chrome backing of the iPod. There is no price drop or any other change besides this.
HP has a much wider distribution... so Apple teamed up with HP to make the iPod available in more stores across the world. Places that carry HP will now most likely carry the iPod.
