Ok guys and gals---my 2 cents. I consdier myself pretty rational and possibly even a skeptic. The way I operate is that there always has to be an explanation for everything. Well...guess what...the Ouija Board (in my opinion) cannot be explained. Here is my experience. I was about 16 years old and I came home one night and my mom was still awake. My parents liked to party when they were younger and I had seen them use this Ouija board with their friends, but I had no idea what it involved, so I started to ask my mom questions about it. Finally, I convinced her to use it with me. Neither of us was touching the pointer when we started asking questions and I could not believe it was actually moving my itself...but it was. I was a pretyy tough young kid and not much frightened me, but this did. We asked it a series of questions and some answeres made sense and some did not. My mom asked the name of the person I was going to marry and it spelled out Penelope...well I am married to Michele...but whatever. We also asked where it came from and the pointer would just go in circles....finally, my mom asked it the following question: "Who does David (that's me) love? and it immediately spelled out SATAN... That was it for me...tears came to my eyes and I was so freaked! I know for a fact that my mom was not touching the pointer and neither was I...that alone was enough to freak me out. The Satan thing was just the clincher. I obviously have no explanation for it. I do believe there are spirits but I do not believe they can possess you just by the use of the Ouija board...but who knows. I have been tempted to use it again, but never have.
