this is coming from a friend of mine who is a doctor. he says in laymans terms oxycontin is basically synthetic heroin. It's heroin made in a lab without all the crap you would get on the street. That's why it's addictive nature is so high. The problem doesn't start when you crush the pill.. it starts when you take the pill crushed or not. I've taken one twice and the feeling is one of bliss almost. You feel numb, but not overly numb. You're in your own world and you watch the world go on around you with out a care. After taking it twice I'll never take it again due to the addictive nature already talked about. I can see how people would be so easily taken with the drug.
