First, when they left the Calgary airport they got into a local Calgary Cab (Advance Cab Company), however when they arrived at the base of SSV, they were in a Cab from Banff Taxi (you could see the phone number on the rear fender). A cab ride from Calgary airport to SSV would be about 2 hours and would probably run the meter up to just over $100. I know from experience that Calgary to Nakiska is $45. So my question is, did they take a cab the whole way or was there an 'edited out' bus ride in the middle? Not because of the cost, a hundred bux isn't that much, just where did they change cabs?
Secondly. They didn't really walk that far. If you refer to my diagram below, you can see that they only walked a short distance from the top of the Angel Express Chair to the top of the Continental Divide Chair. I have walked it myself and it takes about 30 minutes to get up and about 5 minutes to (walk/slide on your ass) down.

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting to see what really happens on this show, how I have to wonder what else they are not showing me when they are in places I am not so familiar with.

Ya I was thinking about all that stuff too. I noticed the different cab and wondered if they swtched in Banff or what.
Thanks for pointing that out about the walk. I don't know why but I assumed that they got off the gondola and started the hike from the bottom of the Angel chair. But you're right, from the top of the chair it wouldn't be that bad.
I thought it was really interesting like you said to see something you're familiar with, puts it in perspective how the editing alters what it's really like quite a bit.
