First, destroy every spider web you can find; look closely in the corners and ceilings, even for the slightest little string of silk. Keep an eye out in the future, and destroy every new one that comes along. If you destroy a spider's webs, it generally moves on.
Second, some spiders are more than capable of climbing into your house through an open window, even one with a screen: If the screen frame doesn't fit snugly against the window frame all the way around (and many don't, especially metal ones) spiders can and will find a way to squeeze through. So keep your windows shut, if you can, and see if that helps. I speak from experience on this particular matter.
